i wasn't sure i was ready to listen to this thinking it was one of those dumb ass stop snitching campaigns, but this was real good information. i think it is important to recognize that much of this info is directed at folks who are suspects, but the law prof was really letting people recognize that there are no benefits to the individual from his/her testimony to to the police. i do actually do believe in community policing and i have 911 ready in a flash, but it is vitally important for people, "innocent" as well as guilty to know their rights and let the judicial process work. as both the police officer/law student and law professor discussed there are ways to get tripped up when consenting to speak with the police. do know your rights.
