From my Brother Andre Batts from Urban Style Comics, creator of Dreadlocks....

Greetings and Happy New Year Friends and Family of Urban Style
Comics.
This is going to be a very busy year for us at U.S.C. Urban Style Comics will be
involved with the 1st annual Black Age of Comics which takes place here in
Detroit, February 07, 2009. For those of you that live in the
region hopefully you will be there. You will be the first to see the all new
Dreadlocks, Sachiko and the much anticipated Jihad a.d.
Here is a quick note on the black age.

Motor City Black Age is following the tradition that was set forth by the
Father of the "Black Age of Comics movement" Turtel Onli of Onli Studios”
Chicago IL. As well as the East Coast Black Age of Comics est. May 2002 by Yumy
Odom and Maurice Waters. and still going strong. Now we have established another
Black age movement which coincides with the other two Black Age events. The
Motor City Black Age kicks off February 7, 09. This is the start of an annual
event in Detroit, Michigan
. We are here to make this a nation wide event. There
are so many African American Creators out there, and we at the Motor City Black
Age are looking forward to showcase your work to those that have never seen the
likes of our creations. The Black Age is here! See you there February 07, 2009

About Liberated Muse

www.LiberatedMuse.com is an online community for artists of all realms. Created in 2008 by Khadijah "Moon" Ali-Coleman, www.LiberatedMuse.com became the online home base for Liberated Muse Productions which formed shortly after between Khadijah and Maceo Thomas to produce the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest (CHHSF). Since 2008, Liberated Muse Productions has produced events promoting quality artists and community venues. In 2009, Liberated Muse published a book anthology featuring member writers and visual artists from across the country and abroad-- Liberated Muse Volume I: How I Freed My Soul. During the book tour, proceeds from each stop on the tour have benefitted community and arts groups, including the DC College Success Foundation, the Saartjie Project and Southeast Ministry.

www.LiberatedMuse.com, though based in Washington DC is a global space where artists are encouraged to network, post events, create profile pages, upload photos and join discussion groups and share music. Members also can post and learn about new opportunities to perform, exhibit work, vend and other ways to present their art to the world. Many of members have garnered wonderful opportunities from being part of the site. Our members range from aspiring novices to professional recognized names.
