- DC's Own Entertainment Group is a unique entertainment company on the fringe of Washington, D.C.'s independent art scene. Founded in 2009 by DC natives, Rahima Rice-Marsh and Melody Marsh, our approach to entertainment is designed to provoke thought, engage diverse audiences in purposeful dialogue, and bring a cultural awareness to under-served demographics.
Our company is a collection of member artists and arts organizations, akin to Washington, D.C., who focus their artistic efforts on the rich history and evolution of the African-American community. We seek members whose art provides a unique, daring and radical perspective on Black culture.

Working Late
I love owning my own business, but sometimes it's crazytown. And I'm only beginning. Can't afford an assistant, cuz I work a day job to pay for all this art. But, I'm making good strides. I'm building. I'm growing. I'm putting myself out there and competing. It's awesome. So, with the new development of my play, The Airport Piece, now going viral... who knows what the world will show me.
