'Bout me.....

Screenwriter, activist, online journalist.....
Some of the many titles that describe me, and what I do. I like to mix my politics with my art. Screenplays in abundance, with a few that are protected. At times I can wax poetic...usually for that special someone in my life.

Author of the commentary series "Black vs. Brown", and eight-part article series dealing with the supposed conflict between the Black and Latino communities, and putting the supposed conflict in its proper context. Also the author of the article series "Black Thoughts: A Political ideological Perspective for Afro Latinos", a (currently) seven-part series expressing why Latinos of African descent should embrace Black Nationalism/Pan Africanism. My articles were features on the website Blacktino.net, HandsOffAssata.org, and Afropresencia.com. "Black Thoughts" has also been re-posted in Spanish and French online.

Founder of the Black Capacity Literary Arts Festival in Richmond, VA. The festival was created to combat the lack of Black-owned media (literary and otherwise) that existed in the city. Currently looking to relocated to the Baltimore, MD area....

All around activist, and Brooklyn smartass.

Holla!!!!!

White-Out TV

In the local Black Press where I live, journalist Clarence Page was exhalting on the 25th anniversary of the airing of "The Cosby Show" and what it had done for the portrayal "African Americans" to the mainstream of society (white folks). He basically denounce the critics of 'Dr.' Cosby, saying that a lot of Cosby's social criticisms of the black community were much needed, or something to that effect, and that his show was a milestone in American television history.

Such a milestone...yet ther… Continue

About Liberated Muse

www.LiberatedMuse.com is an online community for artists of all realms. Created in 2008 by Khadijah "Moon" Ali-Coleman, www.LiberatedMuse.com became the online home base for Liberated Muse Productions which formed shortly after between Khadijah and Maceo Thomas to produce the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest (CHHSF). Since 2008, Liberated Muse Productions has produced events promoting quality artists and community venues. In 2009, Liberated Muse published a book anthology featuring member writers and visual artists from across the country and abroad-- Liberated Muse Volume I: How I Freed My Soul. During the book tour, proceeds from each stop on the tour have benefitted community and arts groups, including the DC College Success Foundation, the Saartjie Project and Southeast Ministry.

If you are part of a nonprofit group who would like Liberated Muse Productions to produce a benefit show for you, contact us today.

www.LiberatedMuse.com, though based in Washington DC is a global space where artists are encouraged to network, post events, create profile pages, upload photos and join discussion groups and share music. Members also can post and learn about new opportunities to perform, exhibit work, vend and other ways to present their art to the world. Many of members have garnered wonderful opportunities from being part of the site. Our members range from aspiring novices to professional recognized names.
