Morpheus

"Brother, Pull Up Your Pants" - Return of the Intellectual Soul Brother III

This is part 3 in the poetry video series "Return of the Intellectual Soul Brother". In this piece, Morpheus's emotions pour out on to the screen in this powerful performance when he is begging and pleading with the American Black Man to stop wearing "sagging pants" in order to redefine the image and the reputation of the black man in America. He talks about the fact that "sagging pants" is really a way to display homosexuality in prison, and that is was never meant to be fashionable. This piece was written and performed by Morpheus the Webmaster. The musical score was produced and engineered by Furious Styles.

Shalom! Many thanks for the video! Yeah, it is a sad reality. There are SOOOOO many challenges that the Afrikan male has to face (and overcome). One of the main things is attacking our manhood as it relates to our strength and sexuality. Most Afrikan males in Hollywood have to go through that test to challenge their sexuality. Will Smith would be the prime example. His first film "six Degrees of Separation" showcased him as a blatant homosexual. Before then, he acted effeminate way too many times on 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air". I know that the system has corrupted him. Will Smith's is on a higher and deeper level. Regardless of that, the brothers on the street face the same attack. We have to continue to let the young brothers know the history and intent of sagging your pants to show yuh bamsee! Blessed Love and continue the heartfelt work. Shalom Shalom
